Die Band wurde1969 gegründet. Zwischen 1971 und 1978 waren sie vorwiegend in Deutschland erfolgreich. In GB schafften sie keinen einzigen Hiterfolg. Alles begann mit ihrem debut Album " Eavy Very ´Umble" 1970 und der single Auskopplung "Gypsy " 1971 . Für beides Bekamen sie Gold. Es folgten die Alben "Salisbury" und "Look At Yourself". Die Single "Lady in Black" wurde aus dem Album "Salisbury ausgekoppelt. Ein Titel welcher bis heute noch in den Ohren liegt. Ihre erfolgreichste Zeit hatte die Band zwischen 1972 -1975. In dieser Zeit entstanden die Alben "Demons and Wizzards" ,"The Magicians Birthday" , "Live 1973" und "Sweet Freedom." Danach ging der Erfolg zurück. Die Musik kam bei der nachfolgenden Jugend nicht mehr richtig an. Es folgten noch ein paar schöne Platten wie "Return To Fantasy" , " High And Mighty", " Innocent Victim". Aber das war es auch. Der stetige Wechsel trug nicht gerade zum Erfolg bei. 1980 fiel Uriah Heep auseinander. Dachte man !!!!! Aber Uriah Heep gibt es noch. Sie sind auch heute noch auf Veranstaltungen und eignen Konzerten anzutreffen
